Housing prices have been steadily increasing over the past few years at an astronomical rate, making it increasingly more difficult for new home buyers to qualify and afford a home. With rental rates skyrocketing as well, the longer you wait to stop paying someone else’s mortgage and paying your own, the more difficult it becomes for you to own your home.

Halloween is upon us again, and the little goblins and ghouls will be trick or treating again soon.

Surprisingly San Diego has a number of haunted places in the county. Check out this page on the ShadowLands website to learn about haunted places and legends in San Diego.

Also remember to put safety first when allowing your children to go trick or treating. Some good Halloween safety ideas are featured in these pages:

Public Library Buildings funded by LBA 2000

Posted by Clay on May 24th, 2006

Wonder where your tax money goes?
Well here are the results of the LBA 2000.

The Office of Library Construction (OLC) is a division of the California State Library, which was created to administer $350 million of state bond funding from Proposition 14, the Library Bond Act of 2000, for public library construction and renovation. The OLC just published a presentation about all 45 of the the library projects created. You can download those files from the website of the Office of Library Construction (OLC), either as a PowerPoint or as a PDF file.

It’s good to see our tax dollars going toward the education of our children and communities.
